UIT Open English Club (OEC)

The UIT Open English Club (OEC) successfully held its first meeting of the year with members from Generation 25. The event was filled with energy, laughter, and excitement as members engaged in interactive activities and fun games. It provided a great opportunity for everyone to get to know one another and build new connections.

This gathering marks only the beginning of what promises to be an exciting and eventful academic year for OEC. Many more engaging and creative activities are on the way, and members are encouraged to stay ready and enthusiastic—OEC is sure to exceed expectations.

UIT Chess Club

The UIT Chess Club also held its first meeting, officially kicking off a new journey for chess enthusiasts at UIT. The atmosphere was lively yet focused, filled with the spirit of competition and camaraderie. New members had the chance to meet, interact, and take part in friendly but intense chess matches. While newcomers eagerly explored the world of chess, experienced players shared their insights and strategies, creating a warm and connected community.

The Chess Club serves not only as a space to sharpen strategic and analytical thinking but also as a welcoming home for all who share a passion for the game.

UIT Media Club

Recently, UIT Media Club officially welcomed its third generation of collaborators in an introductory meeting with all members. The gathering provided an opportunity for everyone to connect, get acquainted, and share the club’s upcoming goals and directions.

The session helped new collaborators better understand their roles and responsibilities within the club, while also offering space to exchange stories, ambitions, and personal development goals.

UIT Media believes that with youthful energy, a willingness to learn, and enthusiasm, the new members will play an important part in strengthening and expanding the club’s activities in the future.

UIT students explore global career opportunities with AvePoint Singapore

On October 16, 2025, at Hall E of the University of Information Technology – VNU-HCM (UIT), the Faculty of Computer Science collaborated with AvePoint Singapore to host the seminar “Work-Study Singapore.” The event served as a valuable opportunity for students to meet, exchange ideas, and participate in direct interviews with recruiters from the global software corporation.

Representatives from UIT and AvePoint exchanged thank-you letters and commemorative gifts.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Ngo Duc Thanh, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, expressed his delight in partnering with AvePoint for such a meaningful activity. “This is a chance for students to better understand the criteria and expectations of an international working environment through direct interaction with AvePoint recruiters,” he shared. “Through these conversations, students can gain motivation, direction, and preparation for their personal and professional growth.”
